We are currently looking for a stock room assistant for our warehouse located Simi Valley.

Your responsibilities will be sorting books by genre onto carts,
which will then be distributed to one of our five Open Book stores. You will be on your feet most of the day in a warehouse environment & need to be able to lift boxes of books as well as other loads.

Prior knowledge or employment in a bookstore is a huge plus! Prior
warehouse experience is also great. The more bookish you are, the better
for this position. You will be trained & given opportunities to take on
more responsibilities relevant to the position.

Part time or full time. Normal business hours (8-4, 9-5, etc.) with
some flexibility. Starting at minimum wage, DOE.

We are currently looking for a merchandising assistant based out of our satellite warehouse in Moorpark and occasionally at our main warehouse in Simi Valley.

Your responsibilities will be helping to sort and distribute the non-book items we receive at our warehouses. Think toys, collectables, antiques, jewelry, and more! If you have been to one of our stores you will know what we are talking about! You will receive training on what sells and work with our store managers in distributing these items. You will make sure our stores are always well stocked and that the displays are nicely curated. You will help design and stock any new locations we may open. You will need to occasionally visit each store located in Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Northridge, Pasadena and Woodland Hills. You will need reliable transportation.

Prior knowledge or employment as a merchandiser is a plus! Prior warehouse experience is great. Prior sorting experience at Goodwill or a thrift store highly preferred. Resale, flipping or flea market selling experience also preferred. You will need to lift heavy items, move carts/bins and occasionally drive up to an hour to our different locations.
