Hey everyone! Because we are moving downstairs, and not closing for good, we are doing a five day flash moving sale (Friday, March 21st - Tuesday, March 25th). The entire store is NOT going to be on sale. We will only have SELECT sections (and sub-sections) that we plan to shrink down when we move. While it will still be a large swath of the store, we just want to manage expectations, as we still need awesome things to provide for you when we relocate!

To avoid confusion, everything will be labeled for your ease when you come in to shop the next five days, so have no fear! As the sections shrink down to what we need them to become for the new space, that section will cease being on sale, which is why we aren't listing them here. (But know that roughly 80% of the store will be on sale, so you have LOTS to choose from!) So it will behoove you to try to get here sooner, rather than later!

Per the usual, tote bag and other discounts don't combine, and store credit and stamp card redemption will not be allowed on 50% off sales transactions.

Hey everyone! We just wanted to take a moment and make our formal/official announcement: we'll be moving downstairs next month into the space right next to Wokcano! Same great mall, different Open Book space.

It'll be a little cozier than the space we're currently in, but we'll still have a great selection of all the sections you love and the events you enjoy coming to each month! As most of you know, (being ex first-timers now), first-timers always exclaim "I didn't even know you were here!" and are surprised to learn we've been here for two years 🤣. While we've still been doing gangbusters since we opened, moving down to the main thoroughfare will give us a much better line of visibility, and for even more people to find us and join The Open Book family!

We will announce the official date here once we have a hard date, but it will be sometime in early-mid April. Until then, it will be business as usual: we'll still be open; author events and book clubs set up prior are still happening, so still do come! And please forgive the potential "chaos" leading up to the move, as we sell down certain sections that we plan to shrink downstairs and move fixtures from one space to the other. We currently hope to do a gradual move so that we are only closed for a couple of days in between spaces for as seamless of a transition as humanly possible, but we know: life happens. Keep an eye here for all announcements!

So if you've been meaning to come check out the space...or wanting to say goodbye one last time before saying hello to our new home...now is the time! While it may feel like the end of your favorite trilogy, don't despair: you'll be jumping right into the spinoff series...which often leads to bigger and better adventures! Don't look at this move as the closing of a book, but as the beginning of the next exciting chapter in our long narrative. (We're going for "Wheel of Time"/"Sweet Valley High" territory here, after all, folks 😉 !)
